Kawaii Style Flamingo Character for Summer Projects 

How are you this fabulous July day? Ready to flamingle a little? I've got the cutest little baby flamingo just waiting to play.

This week's freebie is a new addition to our menagerie of animals. He's so cute I had to make a flock of him:

What's not to love about flamingos? They're a naturally pink animal and somehow they balance on sticks! 

So the goal this week was to create a flamingo in as few pieces as possible. I ended up with this little guy. He's built on a solid base (the pink layer) with pieces for accents.

The lighter color of the beak and the shine for the eyes are welded as one piece to cut down on pieces (like the above photo). You can always release the compound path to separate them.

If you've been hangin' with us for a while, you know I have a penchant for cute animals. You can add a fun quote or just use this little guy by himself, maybe for a small accent:
