Coffee Cup Shaped Print and Cut Gift Card Holder with Gold Foil Polka Dots
The end of the year is coming up fast which means Teacher Appreciation Day is just around the corner!
There have been some great discussions on the Silhouette and Cricut boards lately about what teachers love receiving and surprisingly gift cards seem to top the list, but for reasons I that never occurred to me.
Many said McDonald's or Starbucks cards were great for mornings when they're running late for work, a way to guarantee they get breakfast. Makes complete sense! So instead of a t-shirt or sign design, I decided to draw up this cute coffee cup gift card holder:
Just a simple fold over with slots to place the card and plenty of space for a note. This one's quick and easy for a last minute gift, plus it's can be used for other gifting also.
The download folder contains an info sheet, svg, png ad pdf files.
The png works best in Design Studio for Cricut. You'll just need to do a quick resizing to 8" wide, then click Make It, print and cut:
For Silhouette, load the svg file included, resize for letter size, add your registration marks and select just the top layer for printing:
You'll notice there's a dark brown base layer and invisible cut lines for the slats. After everything's printed and ready to cut, select all the layers then hold down shift and click on just the top image layer to deselect it. When you hit Send and select cut, you'll see cut lines for the outer edge and the slats:
After you're all done you should have something that looks like this:
Just pop in your gift card and you're all ready!
Cute and probably the easiest teacher appreciation there is.
Download Time!
Quick favor before you get to the downloading? If you could help me share by pinning this design to your favorite svg or freebie board, it would be awesome! (You know you have a huge board full of cut file ideas).
Know someone else who has to have a copy? Send them link so they can download it too. Thank you so much!
