Mystical and magical, there's just something about staring into the stars and wondering what could be. This design was created for Make It In Design's 2022 Winter School Trend Brief "Interstellar." I am honored to be one of their prize winners for the Advanced Track this year.

I have always loved a good zodiac reading, so I knew I wanted to incorporate the different zodiac constellations and planets. I also wanted to create a design with a hexagon pattern that you could use as separate blocks which inspired the crystal formations surrounding each sign. This design was created in Illustrator using a texture from the smoke bombs from last 4th of July in the background. Currently it has two color ways - navy and Pantone's 2022 Color of the Year, very peri.
