Hummingbirds are mesmerizing and the first thing I thought of when brainstorming a subject for Spoonflower's "Petal Coordinates Limited Color Palette - Candy" design challenge in March. I was weeks into traditional watercolor for personal projects and wanted to test out digital watercolor. The colors for this challenge also gave me a strong Lily Pulitzer feel, so what better way to honor those than a loose floral scene. 

The flowers and hummingbird were painted using watercolor brushes in Procreate and vectorized in Illustrator before creating the final pattern.
